Inaugural Drizzle Thursday January 20, 2005, 2 comments

No, not for the alleged President of the United States, but for a rain of frogs, my personal site, a place for me to blow off some steam. So keep this in mind when you see crap that doesn’t look right (or good) on this site. It’s brand spankin’ new.

I’ve been exceedingly frustrated by my recent work on the largish community site I’m running. While I am actually happy with the way it looks, I’m not at all happy with the site itself. It doesn’t have a reason to exist, and that’s making it incredibly difficult to develop into something.

Gentle questioning of the sites loyal members has resulted in some interesting ideas, but no progress toward finding a niche for the site.

We have a great visual identity, in my opinion. And we have some fantastic members. I mean FANTASTIC. Talented, creative, and the friendliest, most supportive bunch of people I’ve met.

We just don’t have any reason for the site to be there.

Ah well. We’ll figure it out.
